The focus of the clinic will be oriented around skills and drills that promote the development of basketball fundamentals and teamwork as well as putting those skills and drills to work through live games.
The clinic will be led by directors Darnell Foreman and Jay Amwake. Darnell and Jay have run 3 successful Heart of a Champion camps in the past and are looking to continue their goal of bringing communities together through the game of basketball. Darnell has extensive experience in the field of basketball and boasts an impressive resume. Darnell is a high school state champion, a collegiate champion, a former pro basketball player, and now resides on the coaching staff of the Oklahoma City Thunder as well as their development team “The Blue”. Darnell not only has robust experience playing the game of basketball but also is a coach and trainer of some of the world’s most elite basketball talent. Jay currently works in the field of finance/business and brings his operational and administrative savvy to partner with Darnell to ultimately deliver a top tier educational experience for campers as well as most importantly, providing a fun and community-building experience through the sport of basketball.
