HOC Basketball Camp Summer 2020

Campers and Parents,

We are pleased to announce that Heart of a Champion Basketball Camp will take place from August 10-14. In order to promote safety, the location has been moved outside to Shertel Park Basketball Courts. As opposed to one big combined session, the camp will be composed of multiple smaller sessions limited to 16 campers per session. The session you sign up for will be your session for the whole week. Sign-ups are on a first come first served basis. Tickets can be purchased online, or via cash or a  check made to Pitman Recreation with "HOC Camp" in the memo. Cash and checks can be brought the first day of camp. 

The sessions are: 

8:00am-9:30am for 5th through 8th grade (boys and girls)

10:00am-11:30am for 2nd through 4th grade (boys and girls)

12:00pm-1:30pm for 5th through 8th grade (boys and girls)

The camp will be oriented around skills and drills that promote minimal contact between campers and staff. All campers are encouraged to bring their own ball and use their own ball throughout the camp. We will be taking temperatures of campers at the start of each session with a non-contact thermometer and each camper will need to fill out five questions regarding potential contact with COVID-19. If campers have a feverish temperature or have indicated they have potentially come into contact with COVID-19 they will be asked to return home in order to make the camp as safe as possible for everyone.  There will also be access to hand sanitizer at all times and campers will be given multiple opportunities to sanitize their hands before, throughout, and after the sessions if they wish.
